The management team of Global Regulatory Surveillance Services (known as GRSS) are delighted to launch their managed surveillance service today. GRSS, led by Joe Vittoria and Sarah Donnelly includes an expert team of compliance and risk professionals that have worked together for many years, formerly all of ACA Mirabella. GRSS will offer its experienced compliance monitoring specialists to provide assistance to compliance officers primarily by providing analysis of the output from surveillance systems. By clearing the bulk of the flagged events, our surveillance team will allow the compliance officer to focus only on the actionable situations. GRSS will help the compliance officer maximise these systems’ effectiveness and evidence that their results have been appropriately reviewed and considered.
As an employee-owned and, therefore, independent firm, GRSS can use a wide range of third-party systems available in the marketplace, so GRSS is not associated with or provides a specific surveillance system. GRSS is proud to have already partnered with various surveillance systems providers, including Fingerprint Supervision, ISS LiquidMetrix, eflow Global and MyComplianceOffice.
GRSS’s team of highly experienced consultants is based in London and Malta and has worked together for many years. In recent years, they have been responsible for monitoring over 100 investment mandates in their previous firms, spread across the investment strategy spectrum, managed by over 250 portfolio managers and traders, with total assets of over $20bn. This level of experience in regulatory surveillance allows GRSS to add value to the productivity and effectiveness of the compliance department.
Having witnessed the proliferation of RegTech solutions specifically in the field of surveillance, Joe Vittoria, GRSS’s CEO, believes that,
“There is a problem for regulated firms, and specifically their time-challenged compliance departments, it’s not just which system to buy, but how to integrate the new system, and then use it effectively. These systems produce results which require significant experience to: be able to interpret them; prioritise their analysis; and determine when escalation or reporting is required.”.
All these functions can now be provided by Global Regulatory Surveillance Services. Speak to one of our knowledgeable team today to find out how we can support your compliance team.
